No - the gel is made of a soy bean based ingredient and is environmentally safe.

Do Lure Lock tackle boxes work with plastic lures?

Yes, the Lure Lock gel will hold soft plastics and spinner bait skirts in place without damaging them.

Does dirt and dust stick to the gel?

Yes, but it’s easy to clean: simply rinse with water or run it through the dishwasher and let dry and it comes out like new.

Does dirt, sand, and dust cause the Lure Lock tackle box to lose its tackiness?

Yes, but you can simply wash out the dirt and grime with dish soap and warm water and the gel will regain its tackiness.

Does the Lure Lock tackle box’s tacky liner break down in the sun?

No, we have UV Blocker in all the gel and the gel has been tested in the sun for 7 years.

Will my lures get sticky?

No – the gel will not leave any residue nor odor on your baits.

Is the Lure Lock tackle box waterproof?

Not completely, however, the gel will continue to perform even if it gets wet.

Does the Lure Lock tackle box work in the heat?

Yes, it’s been tested up to 225 degrees.

Does the Lure Lock tackle box work in the cold?

Yes, it’s been tested down to 15 degrees below zero.

How sturdy is the Lure Lock tackle box?

Extremely – it's made of 100 percent pure polypropylene while our competitors use regrind plastic. Our boxes are much stronger than our competitors'.

Our hometown is Ettrick, Wisconsin. We are 100 percent made in the USA.
